This year’s seminar will address many current municipal issues and will provide legal perspectives and insights on those issues.
Presentations will include discussions about the following topics:

 Texas Open Meetings Act and the legal requirements for conducting public meetings, and common legal issues encountered by governments in com-plying with the Open Meetings Act.
 Contemporary legal concerns for local governmental entities, including em-ployment law, ethics, social media, Attorney General Opinions, and more.
 The latest economic development is-sues affecting Texas municipalities.
 Public Information Act (PIA) and the current developments and issues re-garding the PIA.
 The general power of the cities to regu-late development within the ETJ.

The seminar’s invited luncheon speaker is Holly Gray-Moore of the City of Roanoke and the Texas Municipal League.
Each attendee will receive a presentation flash drive.
