Chace A. Craig

Mr. Craig is an associate with Brown & Hofmeister, L.L.P. and has experience in public practice representing local governmental entities. Prior to joining Brown & Hofmeister, L.L.P., Chace worked for the City of Abilene as an Assistant City Attorney and Municipal Court Judge. He served as a legal advisor to several boards and departments within the City and was responsible for reviewing and revising contracts, drafting and revising ordinances for the City Council, advising on agenda review and Texas Open Meetings Act compliance, and providing misdemeanor prosecution as a Municipal Prosecutor. In 2021 he had the opportunity to become a Municipal Court Associate Judge and in 2022 became a full-time Municipal Court Judge presiding over trials, hearings and proceedings at the Abilene Municipal Court. In 2023, Chace was appointed by the Texas Supreme Court to the State Commission on Judicial Conduct and served until joining Brown & Hofmeister in 2025.

Chace will be assisting our clients on general municipal law matters including: Open Meetings Act and Public Information Act; preparing and revising contracts, easements, ordinances, and resolutions; and municipal court prosecution.
