Michael L. Martin is an associate with Brown & Hofmeister LLP. He Practices municipal law and has experience in both private and public practice representing Texas governmental entities. Prior to joining Brown & Hofmeister, Michael worked with municipalities in Louisiana and Texas for nearly six years, managing legal matters and advising on various legal topics. During that time, he also served as a municipal prosecutor in several cities in North Texas and has litigated several cases.
Mr. Martin has advised various local governments on the Public Information Act, Open Meetings Act, public safety, public works, ethics/conflicts issues, as well as on procurement, contract and other general public law issues. He has drafted ordinances and advised cities on code compliance, zoning matters, housing standards, compliance and land use, and federal regulation compliance.
